Denver

Landed in Denver.

Bye Bye SLC

I've been posting from the airport and my flight to Denver will be boarding shortly. This will be my last post from Utah. I can't thank the club enough for the opportunity to come here and experience the RI Convention. See everybody soon!

Last Hurrah

I spent my last couple of hours here in Utah at Jardelle Lake State Park. It was a beautiful mountain lake south-east of Park City. I rented a sea kayak and went for a quick paddle and a very cold dip in the lake.

SLC and Utah

I really enjoyed my time out here. SLC is very modern and sophisticated. Northern Utah in general is simply beautiful.

Convention Conclusion

The convention seems to have ended way too quickly. The Plenary and breakout sessions really hit home on a lot of issues. I can't way to give a full report with Bob to the club.

Let There Be Peace on Earth

What a way to end things. Let There Be Peace on Earth really embodies a lot of what Rotary is about.

Dame Malvina Major

Entertainment round #2 is Dame Malvina Major, a renowned soprano singer from New Zealand who also performed on Sunday with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She is being accompanied by an orchestra put together for the event.

The University of Utah Singers

Our first bit of Closing Session entertainment is the University of Utah Singers. They just returned from a tour in Europe where they received a major award in competition with other choirs.

President-Elect Wilf

I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting RI President-Elect Wilf Wilkinson at Show-Me Rotary. He has been a member of the Trenton, Ontario, Canada club since 1962. Today he gave us a look at his upcoming year as RI President. His theme is Rotary Shares.

Closing Plenary

Well, we are almost to end. The Closing Plenary is about to start. I don't leave SLC until tomorrow, but I can't believe the convention is coming to an end.
